As a Powershop customer, you can receive a $75 electricity bill credit if you recommend us to your friends and family and they switch to Powershop using your "Switch Your Mates" referral link.^

You could receive a $75 electricity credit^ for each mate who signs up to Powershop electricity using your referral link.
How to refer your friends with Switch Your Mates
Powershop customers can follow these steps to share referrals with their friends.
Let your mates know what you like about Powershop and help spread the word.
Make sure you have downloaded the Powershop app. Available on the App store for Apple devices, or the Google Play store for Android devices.
Step 1
Open the Powershop app. Log in, and click on the hamburger menu on the top left.
Step 2
In the menu, select the Switch Your Mates option.
Step 3
Click the ‘Invite a friend’ button on the Switch Your Mates page. Share it with your friends and family, by pasting the link into a message via email, SMS or WhatsApp.
Step 4
If your mate successfully switches to Powershop using your unique referral link, you'll receive a $75 electricity credit on your electricity bill. You'll get an email notification when your mate makes the switch.
What's in it for them?
We won’t leave your mates hanging.
If they use your referral link to sign up, they could be eligible for the $75 Friend Credit (incl GST).
Plus, they could also receive an extra $100 electricity Sign-Up Credit (incl GST) if they're eligible to take up our Switch Saver electricity plan.

^ For existing Powershop customers referring a friend
If you have a Powershop electricity account and successfully refer a friend, family member or business who is eligible to receive the $75 Friend Credit (incl GST) and signs up with Powershop online via your unique referral code by 31 December 2025, you’ll receive a $75 Referrer Credit as an offset against the charges on your Powershop electricity bill. Offer only available in VIC, NSW, SA and South East Queensland.
