One Big Switch Offer Terms and Conditions

Switch Saver Terms and Conditions 

To be eligible to receive the $150 (incl. GST) credit (Sign-up Credit):  

  • you must be a residential customer switching your electricity to Powershop from another retailer, or an existing Powershop residential customer moving to a new premises where Powershop will continues to sell you electricity, and

  • the premises you switch or move to must be in VIC, NSW, SA or South East Queensland.  

You’ll get the $150 (incl. GST) credit (Sign-up Credit) as an offset against the charges on your first electricity bill. If the charges on your first electricity bill are less than the Sign-up Credit, we’ll carry over the balance of the Sign-up Credit to your next bill. If your electricity market contract ends before you’ve incurred charges to the value of the Sign-up Credit and you’re taking up a new electricity market contract with us (at the same or new premises), we’ll transfer the balance to your first electricity bill under your new contract. The Sign-up Credit otherwise isn’t transferable or redeemable for cash. We won’t pay it as a refund, and it may not be available with other Powershop offers. 

Powershop pays a commission to One Big Switch for each customer that takes up this offer with Powershop.

Power House Gas $50 Credit Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for the offer: 

  • you must be a residential customer switching your gas to Powershop from another retailer, or an existing Powershop residential customer moving to a new premises where Powershop will continue to sell you gas;

  • your premises must be in Victoria or an area of New South Wales where Powershop sells gas

  • you must have a market contract for electricity with Powershop, and switching the same premises to Powershop for the supply of your gas.

You’ll get the $50 (incl. GST) credit (Sign-up Credit) as an offset against the charges on your first gas bill. If the charges on your first gas bill are less than the Sign-up Credit, we’ll carry over the balance of the Sign-up Credit to your next bill. If your gas market contract ends before you’ve incurred charges to the value of the Sign-up Credit and you’re taking up a new gas market contract with us (at the same or new premises), we’ll transfer the balance to your first gas bill under your new contract. The Sign-up Credit otherwise isn’t transferable or redeemable for cash. We won’t pay it as a refund, and it may not be available with other Powershop offers.

One Big Switch $50 Digital Prepaid Mastercard Offer - Terms and Conditions 

  1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the One Big Switch Powershop “$50 Digital Prepaid Mastercard” Offer (“Offer”). By participating, a claimant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Claims must comply with these terms and conditions to be valid.

  2. The Offer is made available by RevTech Media Pty Ltd ABN 75 150 963 474 (“One Big Switch”) through its One Big Switch platform. One Big Switch has been authorised by Powershop Australia Pty Limited ABN 41 154 914 075 ("Powershop") to promote the Offer, for which Powershop pays RevTech Media a commission. RevTech Media has engaged Vault Payment Solutions Group Pty Ltd ABN 66 632 373 105 (Level 31, 367 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000, Australia) to undertake the fulfilment of the offer. 

  3. The Offer commences at 12:00 am (AEST) on 24-July-2024 until the offer is withdrawn (“Offer Period”). Claims received after the offer is withdrawn will not be eligible for the Offer. 

  4. This Offer is available to residential customers in NSW, SE QLD, SA, and VIC who sign up to the Powershop Switch Saver electricity offer ("Powershop Energy Offer") via One Big Switch when: 

    • a. switching their home electricity to Powershop from another supplier; or 

    • b. setting up their electricity account with Powershop at a new supply address they are moving into (“Eligible Customer”). 

  5. The Offer is not available to existing Powershop energy customers unless they are moving supply address or setting up an energy account at a new property. 

  6. The Offer is only available to Eligible Customers who sign up to the Powershop Energy Offer via the link on the One Big Switch website (www.onebigswitch.com.au) or by calling the Powershop call centre on 1800 929 919 and requesting the “One Big Switch” offer (“Approved Channels”) during the Offer Period. 

  7. The Offer consists of one (1) digital prepaid Mastercard valued at AUD $50 (inclusive of GST) (“gift” or “Digital Prepaid Mastercard”). 

  8. Eligible Customers must meet all the following eligibility requirements (“Eligibility Requirements”): 

    • a. the Eligible Customer must be a member of One Big Switch; 

    • b. the Eligible Customer must successfully sign up to the Powershop Energy Offer during the Offer Period through one of the Approved Channels; 

    • c. the Eligible Customer must remain on the Powershop Energy Offer for at least 30 days once the account is established; and 

    • d. the Eligible Customer must have a valid mobile number and email address applied to their account. 

  9. Limit of one Offer per supply address per Eligible Customer, during the Offer Period. The Offer will be allocated to the primary email address on the Powershop account. 

  10. The Offer cannot be combined with any other promotional Powershop offer. 

  11. Once the Eligible Customer has satisfied the Eligibility Requirements, they will receive their Digital Prepaid Mastercard within 30 days by SMS.  

  12. If the Eligible Customer has a supported Apple or Android smartphone, the Eligible Customer will: 

    • a. Receive a text message from Vault Payment Solutions (at the number provided on the claim) with an activation code and link to the Vault Payment Solutions application, operated by Vault Payment Solutions. 

    • b. Click the link in the text message that will lead the Eligible Customer to the application and proceed to download and install the Vault Payments App, an application owned and operated by Vault Payment Solutions. 

    • c. Follow the prompts to enter their mobile number and the Activation Code (as found in the text message to redeem the Gift Card). 

    • d. Follow the prompts to add the Gift Card to their mobile wallet. 

      If an Eligible Customer does not have a supported Apple or Android smartphone, condition 13(c) below applies.

  13. Redemption of the Digital Prepaid Mastercard is subject to the terms and conditions of Vault Payment Solutions including activating the Digital Prepaid Mastercard before the specified expiry date which will be sent to the Eligible Customer when their Digital Prepaid Mastercard activation code is sent by SMS to the mobile phone number they provided when entering the promotion.

    • a. The Digital Prepaid Mastercard needs to be activated by following the link to access the Vault Payments Application via the App store that is sent in the SMS with their Digital Prepaid Mastercard activation code. By clicking on this link in the SMS, the Eligible Customer will automatically download and open the Vault Payments app, entering and validating the Eligible Customer’s mobile number and activation code. The Eligible Customer may then add the card to the wallet on their phone. 

    • b. Eligible Customers can create a PIN for the Digital Prepaid Mastercard via the Vault Payments App as using the Digital Prepaid Mastercard for purchases over $100 may require entry of a PIN. Instructions on how to set up a PIN are found in the “How do I find my pin number?” FAQ located at https://www.vaultps.com.au/faq/ 

    • c. Eligible Customers who do not have a supported smartphone will be notified via a web page when they click on the link that was sent to them by SMS to activate their digital Prepaid Mastercard. The web page will direct them to Vault Payment Solutions customer service to facilitate provision of an alternate reward of a physical prepaid eftpos gift card upon request. The eftpos® prepaid gift card is issued by EML Payment Solutions Limited ABN 30 131 436 532 AFSL 404131 and distributed by Vault Payment Solutions Group Pty Ltd ABN 66 632 373 105 of Level 31, 367 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000, Australia. Terms and conditions governing the use of the physical prepaid eftpos® gift card are available at https://www.vaultps.com.au/terms-conditions/ 

    • d. Digital Prepaid Mastercard activation codes expire at 11:59pm AEST on the stated expiry date of the activation code. The expiry date provides 2 months in which the Digital Prepaid Mastercard activation code must be activated. 

    • e. The Digital Prepaid Mastercard is valid until the expiry date shown on the front of the card in the Vault Payments App (not less than 12 months from date of production) and cannot be used after expiry. At expiry, the remaining available balance will be forfeited. See Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard Terms and Conditions. 

    • f. Digital Prepaid Mastercards that are not activated or redeemed within the designated time frame included in the SMS sent with the code cannot be re-activated, extended or refunded in any way. One Big Switch is not responsible should the Eligible Customer fail to activate or redeem the Digital Prepaid Mastercard in time, except if One Big Switch caused the failure to activate or redeem through its negligence or breach of these Terms and Conditions, or if One Big Switch has an obligation to re-activate, extend or refund under the Australian Consumer Law. 

    • g. Customer support for the Digital Prepaid Mastercard is available at https://www.vaultps.com.au/faq/ 

    • h. One Big Switch and Powershop will not be responsible if an invalid or incorrect email address or mobile phone number has been provided. If your details change after you sign up to the Powershop Energy Offer, you must contact One Big Switch by calling 1300 858 737 to provide your updated details. 

  14. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law), One Big Switch, Vault Payment Solutions, and Powershop (including their officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way in connection with this Offer, including but not limited to: 

    • a. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under One Big Switch, Vault Payment Solutions or Powershop’s control); 

    • b. any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference; 

    • c. any tax liability incurred by a customer (independent financial advice should be sought); or 

    • d. accepting and/or using a gift. 

      Nothing in these conditions of entry restricts, excludes, modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Australian Consumer Law.

  15. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard are not included. Any unused balance of the Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard will be forfeited. The Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard is issued by EML Payment Solutions Limited (ABN 30 131 436 532) AFSL 404131 pursuant to licence by Mastercard International Incorporated. See www.vaultps.com.au/terms for terms and conditions. Mastercard and the circles design are registered trademarks of Mastercard International Incorporated. The Vault Pays-enabled Prepaid Mastercard must be activated within 2 months of issue and funds expire 12 months after activation. 

  16. One Big Switch may, at its sole discretion and at any time, amend, withdraw, cancel, suspend all or any part of this Offer, including suspending any part of this Offer with another offer of equal or greater value. 

  17. One Big Switch, Vault Payment Solutions are not responsible for any undelivered SMS or emails due to an Eligible Customer’s spam filters or phone/email settings. 

  18. Proof of identity, residency and eligibility is at the discretion of One Big Switch. In the event that an Eligible Customer cannot provide suitable proof, they may forfeit the Offer in whole and no substitute will be offered. 

  19. One Big Switch reserves the right to disqualify any person that provides false information or who seeks to gain an unfair advantage or to manipulate this Offer. 

  20. One Big Switch (subject to State and Territory legislation) reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend this Offer if an event beyond its control corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Offer. 

  21. Personal information is being collected by One Big Switch, Vault Payment Solutions and Powershop for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Offer, and to assist One Big Switch to improve its services. For this purpose, personal information may be disclosed by One Big Switch, Vault Payment Solutions and / or Powershop to each other and to organisations, including but not limited to agents, related entities, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. By accepting this Offer, an Eligible Customer consents to storage and use of their personal information by Vault Payment Solutions in accordance with its Privacy Policy, by One Big Switch in accordance with its Privacy Policy and by Powershop in accordance with its Privacy Policy. If the personal information is not provided, the Eligible Customer may not participate in this Offer. Each Privacy Policy also contains information about how individuals may opt out, access, update or correct their information, how individuals may complain about the treatment of their personal information, and how One Big Switch, Vault Payment Solutions, and/or Powershop will deal with such a complaint.
